Canal Park is located at junction of Wuxi Ancient Canal and new canal, covers 160,000 square meters, among which green area takes up 60%. Now it is the biggest culture theme part in the urban area. Canal Park is near the Hui Mountain in the west, and surrounded by the water in three sides. The base of park was originally the rice market of Wuxi and intensive place for transportation, storage and processing of grain and oil after establishment of new China, now it combines with industrial heritage protection of 20th century. It will become a comprehensive open-type large-scale city garden that integrates culture of rice market, culture of canal, culture of sports, culture of entertainment, ecological forestations and recreation.
